British American Tobacco Hungary has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Executive in Budapest
We’re looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Finance Executive to partner closely with our marketing team. In this pivotal role, you'll bring a financial lens to marketing strategy, ensuring effective budget management and optimized return on investment across all marketing activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Act as a proactive business partner to the marketing team, integrating financial insights into strategic and day-to-day decision-making
- Champion the use of financial KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and promote a results-driven culture
- Oversee the development and management of marketing budgets, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to support ongoing performance tracking
- Provide financial analysis and performance metrics to support Brand and Trade Marketing plans, driving informed decision-making and enhancing spend efficiency
- Oversee financial month-end closing activities for your area of responsibility, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancement opportunities, implementing new ideas, and fostering a culture of innovation
- Lead, mentor and support a junior team member, contributing to a high-performance, growth-focused team environment

Must have qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in business-level English, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, with clear prioritization and focus - no chaos, just calm control :)
- Loves jumping in with fresh ideas and playing a hands-on role in bringing new projects to life from the start
- Proactive, persuasive, and creative, with a willingness to challenge existing ideas
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a positive, collaborative work environment
- An open mindset with a strong desire for continuous learning and personal growth
Good to have skills (valuable assets)
- Fluency in an additional European language
- Solid understanding of budget management and resource allocation
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with strategic pricing and/or excise regulations, and portfolio management
- Experience with project mangement
- CIMA, ACCA, or PMP qualification—either completed or currently in progress
