British American TobaccoCosta Rica has an exciting opportunity for a OTC Continuous Improvement Analyst in Heredia
As an Order to Cash Continuous Improvement Analyst, you will lead process improvement and automation initiatives for financial processes related to Accounts Receivable (AR) and Order to Cash (OTC). This role requires a combination of financial expertise, analytical skills, and technical proficiency to optimize operational performance, ensure compliance, and enhance efficiency across OTC processes.
You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to monitor customer accounts, streamline collection processes, implement automation solutions, and support data-driven decision-making.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and implement data-driven solutions that optimize financial workflows.
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business decisions and track process efficiencies.
- Analyze financial data trends and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in OTC operations.
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to support continuous improvement projects.
- Support project planning, execution, and monitoring to drive operational excellence in Order to Cash processes.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to track and collect outstanding debts, ensuring accurate and timely execution of credit management processes.
- Maintain proactive customer relationships to improve satisfaction, communication, and query resolution.
- Report accounts receivable status, ensuring compliance with Global OTC policies while addressing specific local market requirements.
- Achieve cash posting goals, closely monitor unapplied cash, and keep it within monthly targets and ensure procedural compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives and automation projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels.
- Bachelor's or technical degree in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Business Administration, or related field or 1+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Fluent in English
- 1-2 years of experience in Order to Cash, Collections, or Accounts Receivable (cash operations, credit knowledge is a plus).
- Knowledge in: SAP – High Intermediate Level, Power BI – High Intermediate Level, Excel – Advanced Level (including VBA, Power Query, DAX, JavaScript, SQL or Python) and Alteryx – Intermediate Level.
