ROLE SUMMARY
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
The objective of this role is to involves translating business objectives into actionable plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and utilizing analytical skills to optimize digital platforms for enhanced consumer experiences and operational efficiency. The role requires a blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to contribute to the success of B2B initiatives within the Information, Data, and Technology domain.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Responsible for eliciting, analysing, and documenting comprehensive business requirements for B2B initiatives and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and business objectives.
· Utilize various analytical tools and methodologies to interpret consumer data, derive actionable insights, and recommend strategies to enhance customer engagement, conversion rates, and overall performance of B2B channels.
· Work closely with IT teams, marketing, sales, and other relevant departments to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring seamless implementation of digital solutions while maintaining alignment with business goals.
· Contribute to the development and refinement of B2B strategies, leveraging digital platforms and technology solutions to drive business growth and improve the overall consumer experience.
· Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of B2B initiatives. Continuously monitor and analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, consensus building, and alignment on B2B strategies and objectives.
· Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends within the digital and B2B landscape. Propose innovative ideas and enhancements to drive continuous improvement in B2B initiatives.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
· Extensive experience (usually 3-5+ years) in information technology, including hands-on experience with various tech systems, infrastructure, and software development.
· Experience in developing and implementing technology strategies aligned with business objectives, ideally in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
· Significant experience in overseeing technology-related projects, managing resources, and delivering successful outcomes within set timelines and budgets.
· Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders, understanding their needs, and aligning technology solutions to support their objectives.
· Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective technology operations.
· Experience in managing technology transformations, upgrades, or implementations within an organization or across multiple locations.
· Prior experience in identifying and mitigating technology-related risks, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
· Experience in managing relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
· Strong understanding of B2B/direct sales and Trade Marketing business models and digital marketing strategies.
· Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to derive actionable insights.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
· Familiarity with technology solutions, databases, CRM systems, and e-commerce platforms.
· Proficiency in overseeing projects, managing timelines, resources, and delivering within scope and budget.
· Ability to manage budgets effectively and allocate resources optimally to meet technological needs.
· Sound judgment and the ability to make timely decisions, especially in high-pressure situations.
· Willingness to adapt to technological advancements and foster innovation within the team or organization.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
· A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field is usually required.
· Industry certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or relevant vendor-specific certifications can be advantageous.
· ITIL Certification: Demonstrates knowledge of IT service management best practices.
· Certifications from vendors like Microsoft (MCSE), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), AWS, or other technology providers can be beneficial, especially if the company heavily relies on their products or services.
