BAT is evolving at pace into a global multi-category business. Our purpose is to create A Better Tomorrow™ by Building a Smokeless World.
To achieve our ambition, we are looking for colleagues who are ready to join us on this journey! Tomorrow can’t wait, let’s shape it together!
BAT’s Digital Business Solution has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager, General Ledger in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.
The Assistant Manager, General Ledger will be involved in overseeing and performing the processing of information within the R2R function with a focus on rule-based back-office activities to ensure quality and accurate completion of services and key performance indicators, as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
The overall aim in DBS to “industrialize all rule-based back-office activity”. There are a few important messages contained in this aim. It defines DBS scope as transactional activity that is homogeneous, repeatable, and orderly; and by implication excludes work that is ad hoc, analytical, or requiring deep expertise. It also introduces an industrial or factory analogy for DBS, which is relevant because we are seeking factory-type efficiency, economy of scale, control and consistency of quality in our activity.
