JOB TITLE: Payroll and Benefits Executive - 6 month contract
FUNCTION: Human Resources
LOCATION: Lahore, Pakistan
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll and Benefits Executive to support our HR function. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate payroll processing, timely employee settlements, effective administration of employee benefits, and compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality while ensuring the smooth functioning of payroll and HR operations across the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and on-time disbursement.
- Calculate salaries, bonuses, deductions, reimbursements, and statutory contributions.
- Maintain payroll data and employee records with confidentiality and precision.
- Prepare payroll reconciliation reports and ensure alignment with financial records.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to reconcile payroll data.
- Generate comprehensive payroll, benefits, and compliance reports for management review.
- Manage monthly employee loan and HR advance requests.
- Administer employee benefits, including reimbursements, in accordance with company policies.
- Support the implementation and communication of benefit programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, etc.
- Administer employee income tax in line with statutory guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax legislation, social security, and other relevant regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting payroll and benefits.
- Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, including changes related to salary or employment status.
- Support HR operational activities such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.
- Address employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
- Assist with payroll audits and ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Manage the company’s rewards and recognition portal and oversee monthly disbursements.
- Process final settlements for exiting employees, ensuring accuracy in accrued leaves, gratuity, and any outstanding dues.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth and compliant offboarding processes.
- Undertake any other tasks or projects as assigned by the Manager – Payroll & Benefits.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR operations.
- Sound knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficient in HRIS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Up-to-date knowledge of local tax and social security laws.
