British American Tobacco Swizerland has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Transformation Intern in Lausanne.
We are looking for a high-potential Intern with a strong interest in data, enterprise systems, and digital transformation to join a global pilot project – a Salesforce Consumer Goods and Data Cloud deployment aimed at modernizing our Trade CRM and in-store execution capabilities.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the data and systems backbone of a strategic global project, working on the intersection between business needs and IT architecture. You will gain hands-on experience with data integration, Salesforce, master data management, and stakeholder collaboration across departments like Trade, IT, Marketing, Legal, and Finance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the mapping and analysis of data flows between Salesforce and surrounding systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools, Trade Marketing tools)
- Help document and validate data models, business rules, hierarchies, and master data structures (POS, products, users)
- Participate in workshops with business and IT teams to gather and translate requirements related to data and system integration
- Assist in preparing UAT test cases focused on data integrity, performance, and system behavior
- Contribute to the documentation of architecture decisions, including system interfaces and governance processes
- Help define KPIs and support dashboard building to track adoption, sales performance, and data quality
- Collaborate with technical consultants and data engineers to support implementation and troubleshooting
- Proactively suggest improvements in data handling, system architecture, or end-user tools
What are we looking for?
- University degree, ideally in Data Science, Computer Science, Management of Technology, or a related field
- Strong interest in enterprise systems, data integration, or IT architecture
- Good understanding of relational databases, APIs, and data structures
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, ADO, Tableau, JIRA, or SQL is a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to simplify technical concepts for business users
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Fluent in English, and German
- Available for at least a 6-month internship, based in Lausanne
This internship is a great fit if you want to combine your technical skills with business exposure, learn how large-scale systems are deployed, and gain insights into real-world digital transformation in the FMCG sector.
