British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Analytics Executive in Monterrey
The Advanced Analytics Executive plays a critical role in demonstrating consumer data to unlock actionable insights that inform business strategies across various functions. By analyzing consumer loyalty card data, retail transaction data, and brand engagement data, this role supports the company in understanding consumer behaviors, improving marketing & commercial strategies, and optimizing decision-making processes. This position helps drive business growth through data-driven solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations that support company-wide objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and support in analyzing consumer behaviour and retail transaction data to identify trends and insights that guide business strategies.
- Design and implement data-driven analyses to uncover consumer preferences, behaviours, and purchasing patterns.
- Analyze historical data to generate actionable insights that support pricing, promotions, and consumer engagement strategies.
- Continuously supervise key performance indicators (critical metrics) and analyze data to assess business impact and guide adjustments as needed.
- Prepare and present clear reports and insights to partners, making recommendations that are aligned with business goals.
- Translate sophisticated data analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical partners.
What are we looking for?
- Shown experience as a Data Analyst working with Consumer Analytics, Big Data Analytics, statistical analysis, proficient in excel and visualization tools.
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in Statistics/Analytics with partner management and project management background
- Strong proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R, Python, SQL. Experience with PySpark is a plus.
- Experience with development of machine learning based models on large data sets and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project needs.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of consumer behavior.
- Strong analytical thinking, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail and previous experience with loyalty programs, consumer data analytics, and Power BI a plus.
- Fluency in English is a must, since the role is regarding the US market.
- Excellent communication skills to present sophisticated findings to non-technical stakeholders and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
