BAT Korea has an exciting opportunity for an External Engagement Assistant Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
To support and assist Sr. Engagement Manager and Head of Corporate Relations & Affairs (CORA) in delivering Engagement plans based on regulatory cycle planning
- Proactive support to development of regulatory campaign plans and strategy
- Develop and maintain required level of relationship with relevant stakeholders(with the equivalent counterpart both in government and business community)
- Manage and implement CORA related research projects based on guidance (i.e. stakeholder mapping and classification)
- Support External Affairs projects in line with local, regional, and global guidance
To proactively monitor global and local tobacco related developments, emerging regulatory issues, threats, potential opportunities and report to Sr. Engagement Manager and relevant internal collaborator if required
- This includes monitoring competitors, Korean government (especially Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Health and Welfare) and international organizations such as World Health Organization (especially of “Framework” conversation on Tobacco control).
What are we looking for?
Experience Required
- Minimum 3-7 years working experience in Public Relations agency or Government Affairs team in MNC working on external affairs and external partner management or secretarial position at National Assembly
- University degree in relevant areas (law or public administration degree preferred)
- Short-term experience as an assistant staff to national assembly is preferred
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Thorough understanding of the Korean legislative procedure/regulatory environment (Relevant governmental bodies and legislative/regulatory dynamics)
- Excellent interpersonal skills – persuasive and credible personality
- Highly analytical and logical thinking
- Excellent English proficiency - both verbal and written
