British American Tobacco Polandhas an exciting opportunity for a Global DBS Vendor and Procurement Manager in Warsaw.

Your role will be part of the Digital Busines Solutions (DBS) Procurement formerly Information & Digital Technology (IDT) Category, managing both Source to Contract (S2C) cycle and post-contract Vendor Management for a given domain (sub-category) or part of. You will manage relationships with key DBS vendors, the execution of contracts and vendor management processes and standards in order to optimise the performance of strategic partners against the contracted services and drive integration and innovation to deliver tangible business benefit.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • To be responsible for leading execution of Sub-category Sourcing Strategies and ensure appropriate governance, including tracking and review the category performance, plan implementation and use relevant information to determine opportunities for further improvement to category strategy definition and target setting.
  • Lead global and geographic contract negotiations, vendor management and drive geographic continuous improvement initiatives for the assigned domain
  • To manage the risk to BAT through robust category strategies, sourcing & vendor management and by ensuring adherence to corporate compliance, platforms and policy
  • Assist the supplier custodian and contract owner in the resolution of escalated supplier issues and ensure appropriate supplier management and performance metrics have been agreed. If required, lead disputes with suppliers and secure appropriate outcomes.
  • Determine the scope, scale and impact of any new products or services required. Assess the supply market for these requirements and reflect this in the category strategy and targets. Ensure any supplier or supply market innovations that are relevant to the business are communicated and reflected through changed business requirements.
  • Understand the portfolio of demand for pipeline projects and services with suppliers in line with agreed strategies and provide business challenge in the case of conflict.
  • Implement and manage all integrated vendor management governance across the DBS function.
  • Perform contract change management and contract drafting/review/negotiation and approvals for contracts within delegated authority.

What are we looking for?

  • 8+ years post graduate work experience in Sourcing, Procurement & Contracting of any Information Technology/Digital categories
  • Strong commercial negotiator, able to negotiate contract changes, draft contracts and to analyse & manage supplier cost implications.
  • Solid professional experience in Source to Contract cycle including working knowledge of e-Sourcing tools
  • Thorough experience managing complex, high risk, high value IT supplier relationships in multi-vendor environments, using IT supplier management processes and standards (Technology Vendor Management) or SRM principles
  • Experience in managing complex, high risk projects and programmes to improve vendor performance and service delivery.
  • Full understanding of the category cost drivers and of the factors that influence TCO for Technology spends.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships working across geographic boundaries.
