Pakistan Tobacco Company has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Officer in Akora Khattak
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operation of the redrying machines as per process operating instruction to achieve the quality and performance targets
- Ensure compliance to the procedure and BAT policies regarding product standards.
- Complete overhauling of the assigned production line in a timely manner before the processing season.
- Supervise lamina packing operations in the absence of an operator.
- Drive IWS and responsibilities assigned in Pillar.
- Monitor and ensure Company EH&S policy compliance on the shop floor to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- Follow the ASI in exercising strict control on dispatch of all output from plants
- Ensure dryer operation aligns with PI&T standards and Leaf Supplier Manual quality parameters.
- Assist in ensuring building maintenance standards on line during OH of the line for the respective line.
- Engage and motivate shift team to perform at their best to achieve departmental objectives
- Seek continuous learning and development opportunities for self and team members.
- Coach Equipment Owners to enhance their technical skill
- Seek regular feedback from Quality assurance to ensure high quality product manufacturing.
- Maintain the good relationship with the PMD for better understanding of customer
- Establish good working relationship with unionized employees
- Implement process innovation/improvement to drive productivity with cost effectiveness.
- Encourage shop floor employees to come up with new and different ideas of doing work to ensure continuous improvement process.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a processing plant or industrial maintenance environment.
- Strong mechanical and process knowledge with hands-on and theoretical understanding.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, instrumentation, and control.
- Familiarity with storeroom operating strategies
- Demonstrated technical mastery of equipment and the ability to develop it in others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to coach, train, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Effective interpersonal and collaborative skills, especially in a unionized environment.
- Basic problem-solving abilities and openness to continuous improvement.
- Basic computer literacy
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- High personal accountability with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to adapt in a challenging operational context with limited skilled resources.
