Role summary:
To support / organise the data collection, warehousing, global and local data management activities in the Area. Support all projects which scope is to deliver a powerful data analytics agenda.
Core relationships:
- Area Data and Analytics SMEs – Single point of contact and support to enable the execution of the area level D&A (Data & Analytics) strategy.
- Trade, Digital and Corporate data team - credible and strong working relationship and being up to date with business priorities. Ensuring that the business unit’s data management and reporting needs are correctly represented in the connected data and analytics projects.
- Business Units Strategy, Planning & Insight Teams – Close connection to the department executives to understand on area level the common data needs and analysis directives.
- IDT (Information & Digital Technology) Local, Area and Regional Functional Management – cooperation and awareness of the Data and Analytics strategy through the levels of the Group.
- Global Data and Analytics, Global Strategy, Solution Architecture and IDT (Information & Digital Technology) Security – to understand the infrastructure and compliance needs.
Geographic Scope: Large Markets / Multiple markets / Area
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Awareness of the Area Data and Analytics Strategy in such details that all connected projects can be managed.
- Ensuring the right implementation of the global and local data warehouses and data-lakes based on several aspects: usability, costs, available support, data standardisation, right technology components.
- Manage global, regional, and local Data and Analytics vendors. Coordinate and orchestrate their tasks and the contracted services provided by them.
- Ensure resolution of Data Analysis and Data Platform issues.
- Ensure the system and data management compliance with global BAT Data Management Standards and local regulations.
- Link local business needs and marketing plans with the global, area and regional data solutions / projects. Act as a bridge between the business management and the technology service providers.
- Do business analysis activities to enable the proper and realistic deployment of global / regional / local solutions.
What are we looking for?
Experience Required
- 3+ years’ experience in Data Analyst role: collecting, cleaning, organizing, interpreting and presenting data to support business decision-making processes.
- Data Classification, Data Cleaning, Data Science experience is a plus.
- Data Management systems support and maintenance experience.
- Strong business analysis experience to record and translate business reporting, audience targeting, market / product / consumer / customer analysis needs into technology projects and activities.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Knowledge of programming languages:SQL, Python, and R are the most requested for data analysis, manipulation, and visualization.
- Experience with BI and Data Visualization tools:Power BI, Tableau, DAX, Power Query, advanced Excel.
- Data management and modeling: Ability to integrate data from different sources, create efficient data models, and ensure the quality and consistency of information.
- Statistical and mathematical skills: To interpret data, build predictive models, and support data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of databases: Relational (SQL Server, Oracle) and cloud-based (MS Fabric, Google Cloud).
- Experience with automation and scripting tools: Power AutomatePredictive Modelling.
- Business Intelligence.
- Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence high level knowledge of trending tools and their applicability.

- Project Management theoretical and practical knowledge (Agile, Waterfall).

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in technology sciences or similar domains
