British American Tobacco Vietnamhas an exciting opportunity for a Tax, Treasury & Internal Control Executive in Vietnam
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide advice to the Operations sector on tax planning, management, and compliance with Vietnam tax laws and BAT internal controls, ensuring all information and documentation for inter/intra-company transactions are properly obtained and documented to secure tax deductibility.
- Coordinate Tax & Treasury Committee meetings and deploy Treasury strategy in alignment with Group Guidelines.
- Manage FX risk based on expertise of underlying exposure, FX hedging products, and pricing, while analyzing short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and FX requirements to recommend opportunities to improve cash flow and liquidity management across all legal entities.
- Drive cash flow forecast accuracy by working closely with relevant functions and negotiate credit/guarantee lines and pricing (e.g. deposit rates, interest costs).
- Implement appropriate insurance requirements to cover business risks and review existing financial processes, controls, and operational effectiveness tests under the ICFR process, including coordination of external audits with ICFR users.
Essential experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Accounting or legal qualifications (e.g., CPA, CIMA, ACCA, CA) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably from a professional firm or NTS.
- Strong experience in control processes, audit support, and compliance.
- Solid tax-related experience with the ability to interpret tax legislation and apply it to business needs.
- Broad knowledge of taxation, treasury, and finance, including commercial and legal matters relevant to the business.
- Ability to identify changes in tax or economic trends and manage their impact on the organisation.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for working with internal teams, external advisers, and tax authorities.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with government authorities.
