KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Business & Financial Delivery
- Deliver financial targets through monthly and quarterly performance reviews with Ops Finance and Corporate Finance.
- Support the leadership team in strengthening JV partnerships and executing successful Board Meetings.
- Manage external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS, VAS, and Group standards, and provide proactive input for credit committee decisions.
- Oversee team performance to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) financial reporting, month-end closing for both factory and branch, and timely submission of statutory reports (internal/external, tax, customs, etc.).
- Manage cash and dividends by ensuring fund availability and timely dividend settlement at optimal cost.
- Finance Business Partnering
- Participate actively in cross-functional projects, ensuring strong finance contribution to the Operations transformation agenda and other productivity initiatives.
- Drive governance and risk controls across VN Ops Finance.
- Lead tax and customs audits, review finance policies annually, and implement risk mitigation plans.
- Support transformation initiatives by ensuring integrity and alignment with governance frameworks.
- People Leadership
- Coach and develop team members to deliver high performance and build succession pipeline.
- Foster collaboration across functions and business partners.
- Role model BAT’s leadership behaviours and inclusion principles by communicating the importance of an inclusive culture, addressing non-inclusive practices to create psychological safety, and championing diversity goals to strengthen the talent pipeline.
- Compliance & Integrity
- Ensure full compliance with SoBC, mandatory trainings, and certifications.
- Cascade compliance communications and integrate business integrity into team agendas.
- Address breaches promptly in line with Group procedures.
Essential experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing preferred, but open to all backgrounds, with more than 7 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAS, statutory reporting requirements, and ability to manage audits and compliance.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel, with the ability to leverage financial systems for insights.
- Proven leadership and coaching skills to build high-performing teams and manage complexity under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
- Experience in financial planning, reporting, and stakeholder management, with the ability to drive results in a complex environment.

- Deliver financial targets (NTO, APFO, OCF conversion) and compliance objectives on time.
- Build strong partnerships with Operations and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and influence decision-making through financial insights.
