British American Tobacco Hong Kong has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Officer
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage end-to-end import and export documentation, including preparation and submission of permits for bonded and general cargo in compliance with customs regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transportation providers to arrange timely movement of goods between ports, warehouses, and destinations for both sea and air shipments.
- Plan and monitor inbound shipments to warehouse to ensure efficient stock intake and prevent additional costs such as demurrage or delays.
- Prepare and provide accurate inbound and outbound delivery reports to 3PL partners to support resource planning and transportation scheduling.
- Review and validate logistics-related expenses across vendors and channels, ensuring accuracy prior to submission for payment processing.
- Handle cargo claims for inbound shipments by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to gather required documentation and follow established procedures.
- Track and analyse logistics data, including inventory levels, stock movement, and delivery performance, and generate timely reports to support operational decisions.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, with 2-3 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably within FMCG or a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience in import/export operations, including shipping documentation, customs declarations, and familiarity with bonded cargo and warehouse processes.
- Proficiency in systems and tools such as SAP (or similar ERP), TradeLink, and Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and operational coordination.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments and stakeholders simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams and external partners including 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.
- Able to communicate in English and Cantonese/Mandarin.
