BAT’s Digital Business Solution has an exciting opportunity for a CFOM Assistant Manager in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Profit & Loss
• Lead monthly forecasting and planning processes, analyze and report key financials indicators and ensure alignment with financial frameworks (SOP cycles, budget reviews, forecasting).
• Deliver timely and accurate financials, support ad hoc analysis, and leverage systems like SAP and BI.
• Streamline and automate financial processes, ensure SOPs are up-to-date, and support control documentation requirements.
• Work closely with commercial and corporate finance teams, and engage with cross-functional GBS teams for operational improvement. Perform consolidation of financials across markets.
Controllership & Compliance
• Support coordination of accurate and timely financial closing with all relevant finance functions.
• Review reconciliations and timely resolution of reconciliation issues to mitigate fraud and accounting errors.
• Support SOx compliance and internal control testing, ensuring timely remediation and compliance.
• Handle audit queries (internal, external, tax, customs) to ensure full compliance and transparency.
Cash & Treasury
• Perform accurate daily, weekly, and monthly cash forecasts; analyze trends and collaborate cross-functionally to refine projections.
• Oversee banking activities, investments, and financing (e.g., factoring), while ensuring sufficient liquidity and optimal returns.
• Report on key cash metrics (e.g., OCF, FCF, AR), prepare monthly BATCASH reports, and deliver ad-hoc analysis.
• Support improvement of working capital by managing AR, payment terms, liquidity, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Drive system enhancements and implement tools to boost efficiency and visibility in cash management through proactive involvement and interaction.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred.
- Possess a good understanding of group accounting principles – ability to identify accounting issues
- Able to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions.
- Have a collaborative and flexible style. Able to influence collaborators to achieve desired outcomes.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills to support key collaborators.
- Maintains excellent working relationships with all collaborators and is a great teammate.
- Has the ability to prioritise and manage own workload, is resilient and open to challenges.
- Able and willing to provide guidance to subordinates, strong leadership traits and capability.
- Calm under pressure, knows when to bring up matters, demonstrates a high degree of motivation and regulation. Demonstrates an organised and structured approach.
- Experience of working in an external audit industry a distinct advantage.
