We are seeking a Senior Manager–level Lead Designer specializing in SAP S/4HANA with deep expertise in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This role will serve as the operational build authority for Warehouse and Logistics processes, driving solution strategy, build standards, and ongoing improvement within our S/4HANA landscape. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in either leading S/4HANA implementations or supporting mature S/4 environments, combined with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead build and architecture of end-to-end SAP EWM solutions, including inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes, bringing to bear S/4HANA standard methodologies.
- Conduct and facilitate solution design workshops, gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable solution designs aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead all aspects of configuration, build, testing (SIT/UAT), and deployment of EWM capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with modules including SD, MM, PP, QM, and supporting technologies
- Partner with multi-functional teams to ensure operational excellence, including supply chain, logistics, production, and IT collaborators; act as the primary EWM process SME.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to functional and technical teams, build internal capability and supporting long term SAP maturity. Manage the end-to-end change lifecycle, from requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis to impact assessment, approvals, transition, and post-implementation support
- Ensure all changes align with organizational processes, governance frameworks, and approval criteria. Review and approve cost estimates from third-party service providers, recommending robust and scalable business solutions
- Lead all aspects of quality assurance activities, audits, SOX compliance, support release, deployment, and service operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (CSIP) to enhance quality, strengthen standards, and promote lean practices
What are we looking for?
- 10+ years of experience in SAP EWM, including hands-on implementation, configuration, and support across inbound, outbound, stock transfers, RF processes, and warehouse structure design.
- Demonstrable experience in multiple full-cycle SAP EWM or S/4HANA implementations in a lead or architect role. Deep functional knowledge of warehouse logistics processes and integration with cross modules such as PP, MM, SD, QM, SCM.
- Ability to manage large project workstreams, including planning, estimation, reporting, and leading multi-disciplinary teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with demonstrated effectiveness in business stakeholder engagement.
- Experience designing and supporting S/4HANA EWM 2021 or newer editions preferred. Experience in large global organizations with multi-country stakeholder interactions and use of in-sourced/out-sourced IT services
- Good communication, engagement, analytical, and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution and vendor management
- Knowledge of DevOps, Agile/SaFE, ITIL, processes for implementing organizational changes, and regulated environments (SOx, GDPR)
- Demonstrable ability to deliver solutions end-to-end, from requirements and fit-gap analysis to build, testing, implementation, and support
- Familiarity with integration frameworks such as IDOCs, BAPI, qRFC, CIF. Experience with Fiori apps, warehouse KPIs, and operational dashboards
