British American TobaccoIndonesia has an exciting opportunity for a Global Sourcing Manager in Malang
The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for the execution of the global category ‘Sourcing to Contract’ strategy, specifically:
• Drive end to end sourcing process for capacity set up and capacity expansion (sourcing strategy, tender, negotiate, contract, BAU)
• Commercial risk management through BCP development
• Enable scale and platforming through optimal supplier selection.
• BAU Management & continuous improvement (IWS, VSM, Should Cost).
• Supplier Relationship Management (Supplier KPI via Vizibl)
• Drive productivity savings for category category
• Contract management (iCertis)
• Bridge interface between GDDC & UK.
• Support in delivery of ESG Group Targets
Your key responsibilities will include
- Define Global Sourcing strategies for the category to achieve defined productivity objectives.
- Work closely with R&D to support NPD and drive supplier selection that enable successful product launches at optimal cost.
- Utilize market intelligence to define strategy that supports achieving COGS targets whilst mitigating inflationary impact.
- Drive continuous improvement at BAU phase by implementing IWS tools such as VSM and Should Cost Analysis.
- Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), KPI definition and follow up through Vizibl platform.
- Lead global and geographic contract negotiations effectively to deliver robust terms and conditions that manages BAT’s service delivery and commercial risk (iCertis).
- Drive the corporate strategy for sustainable Procurement with a heavy focus on sustainable raw material sourcing, recyclability, CO2, water and landfill reduction throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate the individual category strategy to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Establish pro-active risk management by developing and executing an effective Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that provides Si/So mitigation as well as clear guidance in case of hardship or force majeure from supply chain.
- Monitor contractual performance in accordance with agreed SLAs to identity and resolve issues, escalating as appropriate
What are we looking for?
- Detailed knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity, and expected trends at a geographic / global level
- In-depth category knowledge and proven capability of applying supplier management techniques to deliver added value benefits in addition to contracted benefits
- Expertise in successful development of complex, multi-country contracts and agreements
- Detailed understanding of financial evaluation and interpretation of supplier’s records and their key cost and business drivers
- Knowledge of the Category including the external marketplace, key drivers and levers, supply base and balance of power, supplier capabilities and trends
- Expertise in negotiation skills and influencing skills: able to influence business partners and suppliers as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to contract
- Preferably IWS / Lean Manufacturing experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant area
- CIPS Corporate Diploma in Purchasing and/or membership of The Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply or equivalent country qualification or membership would be an advantage
