British American Tobacco Indonesia has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician in Malang, Indonesia.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct analytical method validation and verification activities according to approved protocols and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate method performance characteristics such as accuracy, precision, specificity, robustness, stability, and detection capability.
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments (e.g., GC, HPLC, ICP) to ensure reliable results.
- Prepare and manage samples, reagents, standards, and testing materials for method development and validation activities.
- Follow SOPs, GLP principles, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, and applicable quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate, complete, traceable, and compliant laboratory records, test results, and analytical documentation.
- Support the development, revision, and control of analytical methods, protocols, reports, SOPs, and technical work instructions.
- Drive continuous improvement through quality checks, audits, risk assessments, process optimization, good housekeeping, and promotion of safety, health, and environmental best practices.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, Applied Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in sample preparation, reagent/standard preparation, instrumental analysis, and data recording; analytical laboratory experience is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of analytical method development and validation, including method performance characteristics and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and techniques such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP, or related technologies.
- Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, data integrity, document control, and ISO/IEC 17025 standards is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies, and prepare technical summaries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable using laboratory information and digital documentation systems.
- Effective communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with strong attention to detail, teamwork, learning agility, and commitment to safety and compliance.
