British American Tobacco Poland has an exciting opportunity for a CE Operations Finance Manager in Warsaw
This person willsupport the Area team in managing Cost of Sales, considering the significant product complexity across CE markets, the combination of LRD and Toll manufacturing model, and the multi‑category environment (Combustibles, HP, MO, Vapour).
This includes navigating additional challenges arising from a highly competitive landscape and high expectations regarding category contribution and profit delivery across CE.
In this role, you will also support the CE Ops Finance Controller and the Area team in driving the productivity agenda, collaborating with Operations, Product, Finance, Compliance and other relevant teams to enhance profitability within the Combustibles category.
You will contribute to the Growth agenda in New Categories by providing relevant analysis and insights to support decision‑making for CAPEX investments, commercial initiatives and other strategic areas.
Collaborate closely with Finance, Compliance and Tax teams, supporting initiatives that strengthen the controls, governance, and compliance agenda for factories across the CE Area.
Support the Group’s transformation agenda through process alignment, improvement, and simplification
Your key responsibilities will include:
Business and Operational
- Contribute to the control, reporting and optimisation of one of the biggest P&L within the organisation
- Strengthen ownership and accountability in CoS Management by implementing reports across different Category & end markets acting as a link between different stakeholders
- Support the CE Operations Finance Controller in driving the productivity agenda through effective coordination of the project’s portfolio across CE area, monitoring implementation progress against plans and ensuring mitigation action are in place for identified risks
- Assist in management and control activities related to resource allocation and consolidating the execution of operations capex within the Area
- Provide relevant data and insights on working capital/cash release across the CE Area
- Liaise with supply chain planning and the commercial units to ensure supply is managed with an appropriate balance of cost efficiency, stock risk and agility
- Proactively use data and insights to help identification and pursue for savings from non-product cost areas, including optimisation of indirect tax and duties
- Support benchmarking activities with other factories / markets and the application of best practices
- Contribute to compliance within control environment in CE factories and supply chain
- Support the CE Area Ops team with related ESG reporting
- Embraces change and proactively seek new opportunities for improvement across Ops finance processes with CE area
- Demonstrate leadership when engaging with key stakeholders through behaviours and attitudes which are in line with the BAT Values to support, encourage and drive a positive working culture with healthy winning mentality
- Promotes collaboration and help the team maintain focus on common goal
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in a multinational environment with at least 5 years’ experience within Finance and/or Ops Finance
- Strong functional expertise around General Finance (P&L, Cash Flow, WC Mgmt.), Planning & Reporting & and Accounting,
- Strong Business Insight and relevant working experience in multinational matrix organizations, managing complex financial reporting and planning
- Experience of effectively communicating with collaborators at various leadership levels
- Focused approach with creativity, positivity, and strong drive for results
- Solid understanding of financial reporting and technologies supporting Finance & Operations processes
- Strong analytical and consolidation skills
- Minimum First degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related fields and advanced English is required
- Good understanding and/or practice of continuous improvement and productivity methods (eg: IWS, Lean, 6Sigma) would be an advantage as well as ACCA/CIMA/qualified accountant
