British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Brand Strategic Projects Specialist in Bucharest
The objective of this role is to support the Strategic Project Manager in the development and / or executing new and existing product/ portfolio/ brand related projects from planning to implementation and reporting.
Supports the strategic projects in place and upcoming, by managing given brand projects & initiatives, ensure the execution is within brief / identified need / request, and drive fact-based decision making through the provision of market analysis and reports with clear recommendations for action.
Reports toSenior Brand Manager Strategic Projects
Core Relationships:
- Internal– SEE markets, marketing subdepartments – given the diversity of the projects
- External – agency teams (if the case)
Geographic Scope: Across markets key strategic projects which encompasses more than one brand and has high implications on the portfolio (legislative changes, portfolio strategy, specific entry in specific segments)
Travel Required: Depending on a business need (minimal)
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supports strategic project team in developing and executing brand projects and plans related to objective for a leaner, stronger and less complex portfolio.
- Run analysis across markets’ portfolios, presenting results and recommendations on further improvement & development.
- Supports / manages initiatives & projects that are running across portfolio / across markets (migrations, portfolio optimizations, regulatory triggered, efficiency aiming, special projects).
- Monitor the implementation and results of operational plans and recommend changes.
- Support translating Global initiatives into meaningful, pragmatic action plans.
- Understand differentiated role of markets and engage across geographies.
- Execute NPI (New Product Introduction)’s closely working with all relevant parties from Area & EM (End Market),
- Analyse market research data to understand brand issues and market opportunities, conclude and support for further decision making. Analyses & reports brand performance in a clear, concise manner, with focus on required actions and proposes fact-based action plans.
- Plan, monitor and report expenditure to ensure it does not exceed budget defined in operational brand plan.
What are we looking for?
Experience Required:
- minimum 2 years’ experience in managing marketing and brand projects.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required:
- Commercial approach to all activities;
- Strong project & stakeholder management skills;
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, influencing & interpersonal skills;
- Creative thinking, agility and good tolerance for ambiguity and multitasking;
- Self-starter - must be able to take ownership of tasks and work within a team & with the ability to make things happen (pro-active, dynamic, flexible, pragmatic);
- Good understanding of brands ecosystems.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required:
- University Degree;
- Fluent in Romanian & English (oral and written);
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Power-Point).
