British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Brand Manager in Bucharest
The objective of this role is to maximise the potential of assigned Brand by developing, communicating and implementing Brand strategies and consumer engagement activities which are aligned to Marketing, Brand Portfolio and Consumer Space strategies and which will drive the achievement of brand objectives. Coordinate the research, development and execution of activities of the merchandising strategy as well as design of communication materials, according to the requirements and priorities of each type of location. Ensure the best presence and positioning of BAT strategic brands.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage, conduct and evaluate projects to implement brand strategy. Drive product and campaign development and deployment, in collaboration with internal stakeholders (for ex., trade and activation, NPI).
- Ensure effective budget allocation within the context of agreed projects and approved budgets.
- Brief agencies and manage operations with agencies in the implementation of assigned brand projects.
- Analyse and evaluate market and market research data to identify and develop new marketing measures for the brand/category.
- Support Market Category Manager in the strategic and operational brand planning.
- Functionally direct and coach trainees and interns and conduct know-how transfer for new staff members of the Brand Marketing team.
- Develop specific promotional materials for key customers (including strategic locations) and /or for certain locations as to meet the specific marketing requirements for advertising within the store.
- Identify and develop strong business relations with the major suppliers of advertising materials by signing agreements / contracts for BAT service provision to ensure best resources are available in time and at the required quality.
- Handle communications between Brand Marketing (including Area Brand team), Trade Marketing and Operations to ensure the cycle plan is effectively executed and Brand programmes are effectively implemented in the field force.
- Offer recommendation based on information about competition so that BAT maintains a competitive advantage and the future strategy, plans and development of new materials reflect market trends.
- Drive innovation and explore new ways of doing things to increase effectiveness and efficiency in the execution of all brand activities.
What are we looking for?
- University Degree
- 2-3 years of previous experience in brand management; experience in a FMCG company is nice to have
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- High attention to detail and good presentation skills
- Capable to lead and influence different internal and external partners
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset
- Ability to make things happen (proactive, dynamic, flexible, pragmatic)
- Ability to develop relevant and effective in-store communication and promotions and coordinate third party suppliers to positively influence consumer buying behaviour
- Commercial approach to all activities
- Project management skills are nice to have
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
