The Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting Global Process Expert (GPE) in the Record to Report End-to-End team uses their extensive process and leadership expertise to design an optimal operating model and to drive transformation initiatives to improve processes within remit and contribute to BAT strategic agenda.
The incumbent represents the FP&A on behalf of the relevant Global Process Owner (GPO) as an acknowledged expert in the field, providing business process leadership combined with the influencing skills necessary to drive continuous improvement and process adherence.
They will be in touch with the outside world, getting relevant external benchmark for processes and respective critical metrics aiming to maintain or achieve best in class, always looking for areas to improve and ensure End to End integration as well as cross functional engagement whenever needed.
The role reports to the Corporate Finance Global Process Lead (R2R) and manages a team of three Managers. It collaborates closely with key functional leadership groups—including Central Finance, GBS, DBS Finance, BCT, and other end‑to‑end process teams—to drive cross‑functional improvements, align global and regional finance interested parties, and provide expert guidance and governance on R2R model changes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work directly with the Global Process Leads, DBS Functional Leads, GPOs, Central and Regional teams, End markets etc. to ensure Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting (BF&R) high-quality processes delivery, while driving close and insightful working relationship with these partners.
- Proactively identifies and drives continuous improvement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of end‑to‑end BAT processes within the BF&R scope, working in close partnership with FP&A to jointly deliver initiatives on their strategic agenda, including transformation projects part of Liquid Edge Program as well as Compliance projects.
- Builds and articulates cases that both educate the relevant audience as well as provide compelling guidance on how proposed change will bring value to the business moving forward.
- Responsible to build and develop their team to be a true solution provider with value to the business/users.
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrated expertise in IBPM-compliant financial reporting, developed through extensive experience in GBS Planning & Reporting and Corporate/Commercial Finance roles at End-Market and Area level.
- Advanced user of the BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) Management Tool, with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
- Strong eye for business with a deep understanding of financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Indirect Cash Flow, enabling effective analysis and decision support.
- Proven track record at expert level in translating process changes into robust and efficient operating models, ensuring alignment with business strategy and financial governance.
- Education: First degree (Finance/Business/Economics).
- Good understanding and relevant practice of continuous improvement methods and Agile methodology.
- ACCA/CIMA/MBA would be an advantage.
