Purpose:
This role will work closely with Operations and Finance stakeholders across the Area DRBU, including regular engagement with Regional partners, to support key responsibilities such as product costing, transfer pricing, cost of sales (COS) reporting, non‑criminal loss (NCL) reporting, and inventory‑related financial management. The Assistant Manager will oversee the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial and operational performance, while also leading inventory‑related cash flow tracking and providing insights to support effective operational decision‑making. In addition, the role will manage and coordinate productivity savings initiatives to drive operational efficiency and cost optimization across the business. The position is accountable for ensuring full compliance with SOX, audit, and statutory requirements, in alignment with established processes and internal control standards.
Key Accountabilities & Business Impact
Product Cost & COS
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of product cost inputs by reviewing data prepared by the Product Costing (PC) team—including BoM, PIR, and standard cost—and providing timely corrections or guidance as needed.
- Drive visibility into cost performance by monitoring and analyzing cost variances and key cost‑movement drivers, delivering clear, actionable insights to stakeholders and governance forums.
- Maintain and enhance product cost reporting capability through timely updates of the Power BI Product Cost (PC) dashboard, ensuring decision‑makers have access to accurate and up‑to‑date information.
- Strengthen financial performance management by conducting actual‑versus‑forecast cost analysis, identifying key issues, and recommending corrective actions to support operational and financial targets.
- Support reliable enterprise reporting by contributing to BPC submissions related to product cost and COS, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with global reporting standards.
Inventory management
- Safeguard financial integrity by ensuring full compliance with inventory‑related SOX controls, external audit requirements, and tax regulations.
- Enhance inventory financial governance through effective management of key activities such as inflation tracking, GIT cut‑off adjustments, and write‑off/recharge monitoring.
- Strengthen cash flow management by supporting both direct and indirect inventory‑related cash flow tracking, enabling proactive working capital optimization.
Productivity Savings Initiatives
- Lead and coordinate productivity savings initiatives across Operations and Finance, ensuring alignment with Area and Regional priorities
- Track, validate, and report productivity results to ensure savings are accurately quantified, documented, and reflected in financial performance.
- Partner cross‑functionally to identify improvement opportunities, develop business cases, and support execution of cost‑optimization and efficiency initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or higher
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance-related role
- Strong verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing tasks and responsibilities
- Flexibility to work effectively in changing environments and across multiple priorities
- Ability to adapt quickly and respond proactively to fast-paced and evolving business needs
Preference
- Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment
- Finance-related certifications (e.g., CPA or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with finance systems and tools such as SAP, BPC, and advanced Excel
