British American Tobacco Indonesia has an exciting opportunity for Product Developer II in Malang
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and deliver assigned projects within the THP Consumables product development portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational practices and timelines.
- Apply technical expertise and scientific principles to enhance product development processes and methodologies.
- Execute exploratory product development workstreams and support the 5-year innovation pipeline through new product launches and internal capability building.
- Design and prepare consumer research samples, ensuring high standards of physical, chemical, and sensorial quality.
- Coordinate factory validation of new products via the Material Qualification System, ensuring readiness for scale-up.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to build innovation capabilities and deliver products that meet market and consumer needs.
- Work cross-functionally with departments like Commercial, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations to support product scale-up and commercialization.
- Support team development and contribute to securing IP protection for new technologies, working with LEX and guiding junior team members.
What are we looking for?
- Solid experience in FMCG product development and manufacturing, preferably in Tobacco or THP.
- Strong knowledge of consumer insights and research, including setting up studies and interpreting results to inform product decisions.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to analyze product testing data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence mid-to-senior level stakeholders across departments.
- Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as intellectual property considerations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and apply creative thinking to solve problems under pressure.
- Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is a plus, with the capability to mentor junior team members and build technical capability.
- Holds a degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent industrial experience.
