Job Purpose & Key Deliverables
The Commercial Finance Intern in BAT will be given the opportunity to work for 4 markets (Greece, Malta, Cyprus and Israel) on real tasks from the onset, directly contributing to the finance aspect of the business and taking on increased levels of responsibility as they progress. Internship provides a solid foundation in a particular functional area, and widens participants' perspectives through leadership and business competency development. The programme is structured around a highly effective integrated learning approach, with focus on on-the-job development interventions, interaction with others and formal training programmes.
Key Accountabilities
- Delivery of project work & assignments relating to competency and leadership development within functional as well as cross-functional teams
- Assist functional managers and executives in the delivery of key aspects of their role, i.e. monthly forecasting, understanding of revenue performance, preparation of business cases, budget & investment proposals.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reports in a knowledgeable manner to aid in business decisions.
- Support pricing and financial analysis of new market launches and new category products.
- Follow up with other functions on Investment Expenditure
- Build and maintain financial reports and models
- Any other ad-hoc tasks/ reports requested by the Finance function
- Work proactively in close collaboration with line manager with a view to maximize and accelerate own learning process
Essential Requirements
- University Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economics
- Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration or relevant field will be appreciated
- English and Greek (written and spoken), mother tongue or equivalent
- Good computer skills with advanced knowledge in Excel & PowerPoint. SAP and Power BI knowledge would be considered a plus
- Strong analytical skills, ability to link data to performance drivers
- Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact across functions
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure
- Ability for continuous learning
