Financial Consolidation Manager (DBS)

British American TobaccoRomania has an exciting opportunity for a Financials Consolidation Manager / DBS Consolidation Manager in Bucharest

This role covers responsibilities regarding DBS financial consolidation.

The objective is to help the DBS Finance team meet business goals by consolidating monthly financials, tracking actuals versus budgets, reconciling forecasts, reporting sensitivities, managing month-end reports and variance analysis, root cause variance analysis, and analysing data to drive insights that facilitate informed decision-making by senior leadership.

As the role will have an overview of the end-to-end reporting process, there is an expectation of simplification and automation of the way of working.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • DBS Financial Forecast – assumption setting, forecast coordination, liaising with Finance Business Partners and consolidating the data for review with CFOM Lead
  •  Actuals Reporting – Consolidate commentary and figures for monthly forecast vs actual analysis across DBS Functions for both CAPEX & OPEX
  • Monthly Reporting process – prepare cause of change to explain variances and support on monthly slides deck / reporting files
  • Simplification – periodically assess current reporting way of working and propose initiatives to simplify and bring efficiency
  • Automation - suggest improvements for working files or propose redesign of reporting structure to enable agile reporting and automation of reported data.
  • Support Internal Audit

What are we looking for?

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with datasets, with a strong aptitude for creating a smooth way of working that effectively convey complex financial information.
  • A financial background with minimum 5 years experience in a global FMCG company or similar dynamic environment (a financial qualification is nice to have)
  • Business Partnering skills - ability to develop good working relationship with key stakeholders (finance team, taxation, audit)
  • Must be self-motivated, meet high professional standards and be able to focus on the levels of service offered to internal higher stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and result driven.
  • Analytical skills and business acumen with the ability to bring expert advice and problem-solving skills to the Finance function
  • Good prioritisation and time management
