British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Trainee in Bucharest

Treasury Academy Program is a junior professional training program designed to develop the skills necessary for an exciting and rewarding career in the financial industry. It will provide the opportunity to engage and gain valuable practical and theoretical expertise through a rotation schedule targeting the following GTO teams:

  • Short term liquidity management
  • Center liquidity and FX
  • Dealing Room
  • Treasury settlements
  • Treasury accounting

As part of the program that spans over 2 years , the analyst will be able to learn how BAT’s Treasury operates centrally and at local levels , key elements related to cash management, trading, funding, FX risk management, settlement and accounting, broad perspective of BAT business and how Treasury supports it . It offers the opportunity for accelerated treasury career growth and prepares the analyst to be ready to apply the knowledge gained during the project for other roles within GTO.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • To support each GTO teams to perform BAU activities according to its specific requirements according to the rotation schedule.
  • To Create and maintain a strong collaborative partnership with GBS and Treasury community.
  • To understand the functionality, interfaces and interdependencies of processes and systems used in the treasury.
  • To agree, document and deliver service against formal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with BAT where the day-to-day Operational relationship involves measurable performance.
  • To participate fully in any new Treasury/Corporate Finance driven initiatives (new products, complex transactions) to ensure that any procedural and/or systems changes are fully documented and tested and do not have a negative impact elsewhere within the processes.
  • To represent Treasury Operations in the relation to GBS.

What are we looking for?

  • Graduate in Finance or similar field.
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Very good organisational skills and analytical thinking
  • Leadership skills gained either from professional experience or extra-curricular activities.
  • Very good communication skills
  • Up to 3 years working experience in Finance (preferred)
  • A high level of interpersonal skills to enable them to interact with people at different hierarchical levels.
