JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager - Sourcing

FUNCTION: Operations

LOCATION: Colombo, Sri Lanka

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is responsible to manage the procurement of direct goods/ Wrapping Materials and related services for CTC, ensuring security and flexibility of supply, appropriate quality, and the introduction of innovations, complexity reduction at optimum cost.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Plan and implement an effective procurement process for direct goods and related services.
• Work with Global Category Managers and Planning hub to plan orders and do necessary system updates in designated platforms.
• Monitor price trends and to provide such information to management.
• To provide information to all functions of the Company in relation to direct products and services.
• Implement systems to monitor and develop service providers for continuous improvement and enter into Service Level Agreements with such suppliers where appropriate.
• Negotiate with suppliers of goods and services to obtain the best possible rates for CTC.
• Monitor and improve suppliers who do not perform to company's expectations and develop new sources.
• Develop systems and procedures to monitor and improve procurement process to improve velocity.
• Develop Suppliers to align into BAT Sustainability/ ESG Goals

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

• Bsc. in Business Management or any other relevant Professional Qualification
• 2 - 3 Years Experience in Procurement or Supply Chain  
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.  
• Strong leadership skills with sound collaboration, influencing, communication and negotiation skills to drive impactful outcomes.
• Ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective Stakeholder engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
• BAT Policies, Guidelines and Best Practices.
