BAT IRAQ IS LOOKING FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
SENIORITY: Management level
REPORT TO: Head of Trade, Iraq
FUNCTION: Marketing
LOCATION: Erbil, Iraq
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Business Development Manager at BAT Iraq will be responsible for executing trade strategies, managing budgets, and driving market growth. The role involves overseeing consumer engagement, optimizing processes, and collaborating closely with distributors to ensure successful campaign implementation. The manager will also work with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Uplift Route to Market capabilities through engagements and trainings
- Develop and execute channel strategies and trade operational plans
- Explore new opportunities for growth and highlight gaps with the right interventions
- Oversee Consumer Engagement platform while ensuring efficient deployment across various channels
- Effectively manage the trade budget
- Ensure execution excellence of all deployed campaigns
- Setting Comprehensive Cycle Instructions and cascading it to the distributor
- Work closely with the distributors to monitor competition intelligence and activities
- Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of brand strategies
- Build multi-functional relationships and create an environment where information & resources are shared in pursuit of business goals
- Close and coherent working relationship with Brand Marketing and End markets to effectively implement the cycle calendar
- Identify processes that can be optimized and improved
- Drive innovation within the trade function
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with at least 5 years of experience
- FMCG experience is a plus
- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
- Great interpersonal skills
- Effective influencing skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Strong MS office skills, mainly Excel and Power Point
- Well organised with good time management skills
