BAT VIETNAM IS LOOKING FOR A SOURCING OFFICER

FUNCTION:Operations - Procurement

SALARY RANGE: $800 - $1200/Month + Bonus Scheme + Excellent Benefits

LOCATION: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Conduct sourcing for BAU and projects as well as admin support to add value to the company; including compliance with region and corporate information requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Lead and implement sourcing projects for, but not limited to Indirect Categories activities.
  • Corporate with GSM to implement Procurement strategy for Indirect Categories
  • Perform local industry market analysis and market intelligence. Manage RFQ processes both manually and electronically.
  • Shown business insight across all products/categories, find saving opportunities, drive to put into practice. Contribute to the Cost Reduction Program in accordance with agreed savings targets.
  • Support preparation and execution of major bids and ensure alignment with relevant internal team members.
  • Establish contact with key suppliers to acquire information on service offerings, understand their market approach and enable a better and closer working relationship.
  • Maintain supplier base & supplier relationship, engage stakeholders with a focus to ensure business continuity which linked to market supply and customer’s demand.
  • Be a team member for implementation of local projects. Coordinate among suppliers and internal team members in project.
  • Work with related teams for continuous cost improvement. Support the optimum use of procurement tools and systems. Define catalogue content in line with format and structure defined by the global template in collaboration with sourcing manager / e-procurement champion.
  • Support Compliance, Safety and ESG initiative.
  • Coordinate events related to suppliers.
  • Maintain/Develop the IP reporting.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Able to work independently and as a team also willing accept to work under intense pressure or heavy workload.
  • Familiar with Microsoft office (Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant software application.
  • Diploma/ Degree in Economics, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or any related field.
  • Experience at least 1 year in sourcing of Indirect Procurement.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skill and in English.
  • Exemplifying a strong attention to detail, good data management, analytical & structural thinking skills
  • Self-starter, proactive manner & can-do attitude
