What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
- Lead the Business Insights & Foresights Team of 3 people for Switzerland & Austria in collaboration with LM.
- As the new BAT Business Insights Manager, you will lead the analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive strategic decision-making within an organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, optimize business performance, and support long-term growth initiatives.
- Reports to Senior Business Insights & Foresights Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Data Collection and Analysis:This involves working with large sales datasets (in collaboration with an external data management agency) to develop an expert level understanding of the market dynamics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, sales and finance, to ensure that insights are aligned with business objectives and are being used effectively across the organization. This includes working with teams to ensure insights drive actionable changes and results.
- Reporting and Communication:Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate findings and insights to stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Strategic Decision Support:Provide actionable insights to senior leadership and other departments to guide strategic planning and decision-making. This involves translating complex data into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
What are we looking for?
- University degree (Master +) in Marketing and/ or studies focused on data analytics
- +/- 5 years of relevant work experience incl. Team leadership in analytical Marketing roles, ideally within a multinational FMCG company
- Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and strategic skill set
- Effective communication, presentation & storytelling, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strong business understanding and commercial acumen, high self-initiative, hands-on problem solver
- Ability to derive and present clear, simple, and actionable conclusions from complex and sometimes conflicting data
- Interest and capability to establish new solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency of ways of working, thereby leveraging new technology
- Independent working style, high self-initiative, hands-on problem solver
- High degree of flexibility and resilience, willingness to challenge the status quo
- Excellent MS Office, esp. Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in working in BI Systems such as Tableau, PowerBI
- Business fluent in English. French or German is a plus.
