British American TobaccoCroatia has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller Specialist in Zagreb

The role is a part of Corporate Finance team with focus on entire set of internal & external controls, internal audits and provide support for external audits when needed, group policies and processes.

In this role you will have very close interactions with Leadership team and functional heads, as well as Adria Finance team and Area Finance team and the focus of the activities will be on Adria cluster.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Perform in full- and on-time periodical exercises related with Internal Controls & Compliance - Control Navigator & Business Risk Register
  • Responsible for Internal Audit and other Periodical or Ad Hoc Audits/Check & responsible for Internal Policies
  • Periodical update of Delegation of Authorities or other compliance documents in accordance with group or area changes
  • Provide on time information to the organization regarding internal Controls, Policies and Guidelines. Responsible for all Governance related topics in Adria.
  • Monitor the processes in the organization and escalate potential control breaches (IRI)
  • Mitigating controls overview on ad hoc basis and finding the best solution to clear any Segregation of Duties
  • Proactively support Credit Management in Adria related with compliance topics
  • Adhering to business continuity management

What are we looking for?

  • University / College degree in Economy
  • 3 – 4 years of previous experience in finance area, preferably accounting or internal controls area. Experience in big international companies of FMCG is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with good problem-solving skills and initiative
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesise, communicate, and present complex information.
  • Efficiency in meeting deadlines
  • Excellence in communication and presentation skills with strong influencing, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active (requiring minimum supervision), collaborative and consultative.
  • Excellent computer literacy (Excel, Power Point) and thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, i.e. SAP/BPC;
  • Advanced English knowledge and Croatian
