What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
The role of the Regional Support Coordinator is to ensure effective, efficient and consistent regional trade planning and communication through all cycles of BAT products. The role administers the Trade Marketing Assets that is received and issued at the Regions including the audits, TM asset stock counts, and TM Asset destruction requirements. They are also responsible for ensuring that these assets arrive with the respective Trade Reps / Territory Managers on time and in full for distribution as per the cycle plan. Although not responsible for scheduling the Unitary Installation and maintenance teams, this role will be pivotal in validating that installations or snags are correctly done by the respective external teams. The Regional Support Coordinator is also responsible for generating/validating respective target lists for the relevant cycle plans/campaigns within the region as well as ensuring that intelligence on activities impacting performance or execution of campaigns within the region (including competitor activities) are collated and reported.
The role will also be responsible for coordinating HORECA, HAWKER, NTE and any ACTIVATION plans as agreed with the Regional Operations Manager

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
EXECUTION ENABLEMENT: MONTHLY OPERATIONS
- Manage POS Collateral/TM Assets end-to-end and provide update to ROM on any concerns
- Perform Merchandising Audit and execute actions from audit outcomes.
- Manage unitary assets and provide feedback to Deployment Team on any issues.
- Responsible for Territory Digest maintenance, target lists and competitor reports.
- Ensure effective, efficient, and consistent regional trade planning and communication through all cycles at a 100% level. / Ensure effective, efficient, and consistent regional trade planning and communication throughout all cycles, maintaining complete alignment.
- Assist the Regional Operations Manager to deliver the regional tactical roll-out plans for customers to achieve KPI’s and excite consumers.
- Support Regional Operations Manager to coordinate monthly regional cycle planning meetings.
- Collaborate with the trade teams to gather and compile information on market opposition initiatives, monitor competitor activities, and prepare weekly and monthly competitor reports.
- Coordinate with external providers on regional activations and instore merchandising.
- Assist and support ad-hoc requests from internal departments.
EXECUTION ENABLEMENT: EXCELLENCE IN EXECUTION
- Support the Regional Operations Manager with the compilation of regional delivery instructions for national campaigns On-Time and In-Full (OTIF).
- Support the Regional Operations in cascading down the execution standards to different audiences (Territory Managers and Trade Rep).
- Plan and coordinate promotional campaigns and activities in collaboration with marketing teams, including product launches, special promotions, and in-store events.
- Coordinate, implement, and monitor HORECA, HAWKER, NTE and consumer activation activities in support of brand and trade programs in.
- Track and monitor retail outlet feedback within the region by identifying key drivers (insights) for communication gaps in the market.
- Provide coaching to trade teams during infields to assist with the recommended region-specific proposals for retailers to increase communications and consumer acquisition.
- Compile regional learnings and recommendations (L & R’s) post trade activities and/or cycle execution, weekly & monthly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all communication activities.

- Support the preparation for market visits to showcase regional capabilities

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- A degree, preferably in Marketing/Business Management
- Working knowledge of TM Asset Stock Management ensuring correct governance is applied on all TM Assets ito audits, stock counts, good receipts, good issue and destructions (where relevant)
- Up to 2 years relevant FMCG experience or Grade 12 plus up to 5 years relevant FMCG experience as a Sales or Trade Marketing Representative
- Intermediate to Advanced Data interpretation and analytical skills coupled with a high level computer literacy and skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Power BI
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse multiple data sources/reports to identify root-causes for performance gaps
- Working knowledge of TM&D systems currently available, i.e. Sales Force, Cycle Planning / CDRM
- Proven level of Accuracy and speed WRT analyses and working with large data files in a fast paced and multi-pressured space
- Good written and verbal presentation skills combined with above average communication skills and analytical ability rounded off with the capacity to communicate with BATSA Managers.
- Ability to effectively organise and prioritise multiple projects and associated tasks, while delivering on time and to quality.
