What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
Work in partnership with the business to:
- Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts across product categories and channels
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and external factors impacting demand.
- Lead monthly forecasting cycles and demand review meetings.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and key demand planning KPIs.

- Communicate risks, opportunities, and supply constraints to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain forecasting models, dashboards, and planning reports
- Analyze variance between forecast, shipment, and actual offtake performance.
- Provide actionable insights on category performance, SOM trends, and industry movement.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- 4-6 years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
- Experience dealing with internal/external stakeholders across various geographic regions
- Broad experience in large global organisation with in-depth knowledge in specific FMCG process areas
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- [Functional] Statistical forecasting and demand modelling
- [Functional] Managing baseline and promotional forecasts (emphasis on forecast accuracy & bias management
- [Functional] Industry / category trend analysis
- [Technical] Advanced Excel, PowerBI, Statistical Modeling, Experience in APO/BPC is essential
- Strong influencing, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution
- Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesise, communicate, and present complex information
- Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative, and consultative
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- A degree educated with professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA)
