British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for Area Finance Business Partner in Bucharest. This role reports to Jennifer Turvey.
Based in Bucharest and reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner as part of the New Categories Corporate Finance Team, Area Finance Business Partner is required to report and control the results of Nicoventures Trading Limited (NVT).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- MOPE reporting completed by profit centre for PL, BS and CF with analysis and commentary ensuring that tax, treasury and other NVT stakeholders including NVT Finance management are made aware of significant deviations
- Managing third party direct distribution arrangements including contract review ahead of HoD/FD sign-off, credit checks, sales order releases, pricing updates, working with Markets on marketing expenditure and internal/external PO’s, reporting and forecasting accurate financial statements and any other ad-hoc review and analysis
- Managing adherence to governance – working with the end market Finance contacts to ensure NVT governance requirements are adhered to. This includes review of board notes and ensuring that the impact to NVT of any commercial decisions is supportable and articulated to the board. Examples include TP changes, cycle changes, pricing, device discounting, stock write-offs
- Review and control of NC PL items to ensure that charges from markets to NVT are aligned with distribution and marketing and services, including any required recharges
- Dealing with ad-hoc queries from markets – questions related to financials, shipment issues, urgent NPIs, system failures, etc.
- Working with markets to calculate transfer prices and reviewing and monitoring achievement of distributor target margins, taking corrective action and/or updating forecasts accordingly
- Seeking opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the Corporate New Categories reporting and processes within NVT
- Developing, coaching and supporting direct report(s) and work closely with colleagues in the NVT Finance team to knowledge and best practices
What are we looking for?
- A finance professional with a good understanding of group and corporate finance principles/experience and ability to deliver commercial insights in a rapidly evolving area of the business
- Ability to prioritise and be resilient
- Ability to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions
- Ability to work independently, managing stakeholders across a wide range of locations and markets
- Proven experience as an effective Business Partner and team player, with a collaborative and flexible style to achieve results for the business
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills to influence and challenge
- Someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who can build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders
- Good knowledge of SAP/ BPC/ BI is preferable
