SENIORITY LEVEL: Internship

FUNCTION: Finance

MONTHLY ALLOWANCE: RM1,500

LOCATION: Bandar Sunway, Selangor

This role requires support to handle the tasks in Supply Chain Finance, opportunity to obtain and strengthen the knowledge for internal and external analytics approaches within the business environment.

Reports to: GBS Corporate Finance Manager

Travel Required: None

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To execute a range of financial tasks, such as transaction processing, financial analysis, and reporting, using the appropriate systems (SAP-ERC, BI) and agreed standard processe, for the supply chain.
• Perform period-end activities to ensure all transactions are posted accurately and period is closed as per timetable agreed.
• Response to queries in a timely and efficient manner to promote a business partnering culture in DBS.
• Perform GL reconciliations and follow-up on reconciling items to ensure all items are captured into the accurate GLs.
• Perform analysis and clearing of balance sheet accounts to ensure accounts are clean and suspicious transactions investigated.
• Support migration project to ensure smooth transition of tasks from end markets to DBS.
• Perform testing of new systems/technology and processes as and when required to minimize potential problems to operations

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economy, Accounting, or similar.
• Understanding the financial practices applicable to the daily tasks.
• Eager to learn, dedicated, resourceful and able to work in fast paced environment.
• Good interpersonal skills, digital savvy, and a great teammate
• Attention to detail, methodical and organized.
• Effective planning and time management skills.
