The Compliance and Engagement Manager in the Record to Report End-to-End team uses his/her extensive leadership and business knowledge to ensure a robust control environment across Finance processes, while engaging with key end markets stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and strategic transformation initiatives.
The incumbent represents the global Finance end-to-end teams in the designated GBS locations as an acknowledged expert in BAT ways of working and controls. He/she will be in touch with global teams, external parties and end markets to maintain or achieve best in class processes.
He/she will also act as the liaison between end markets and global functions/teams to assess and implement new legal, fiscal and regulatory (LFR) business requirements.

Core Relationships | End Markets teams – close relationship with local Finance teams to monitor processes operation and facilitate high risk controls approvals. External parties – regular interaction with external parties involved in the Finance processes operation to ensure adherence to BAT standards and agreed SLAs/KPIs. Functional End to End teams – works with Process Design and Transformation Experts teams seeking the optimum end-to-end result for BAT on functional and cross functional process improvements. Relevant Functional Leadership Teams - effective working relationship with Central Finance Teams, DBS Finance, BCT and other leadership teams. GPO, Regional/Project Governance Boards – when required, participate in global forums as the GBS Zone finance representative to provide business context and end market specific advice to ensure full governance and implementation on R2R model changes. |

- Business and Operational
- Provide expertise and leadership on Finance processes and controls to drive efficiency, compliance, and performance (SLAs/KPIs), resolving process delays or deviations as needed.
- Act as the first escalation point for time-zone dependent activities while working closely with End Markets, Global Process Leads, DBS Functional Leads, GPOs, and Regional teams to ensure smooth process and solution integration.
- Collaborate with peer End Markets Finance Managers and Global Process Experts across GBS End-to-End teams to strengthen alignment and execution.
- Support Change Management strategies and finance transformation initiatives, including ERP changes, Data Analytics, and Data Science adoption.
- Provide functional data and insights to Global End-to-End Leads to ensure SLAs/KPIs are in place and support the execution of business plans in line with BAT & GBS strategies.

- Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of Finance end-to-end processes, constantly challenging the status quo.

- Contribute valuable insights in peer and stakeholder discussions to drive productive decision-making.
- Communicate effectively across all channels, tailoring messages to different audiences with minimal input.
- Foster teamwork by initiating cross-functional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
EXPERIENCE
- Proven expertise in Finance domain in a multinational environment with at least 8 years’ experience in either a Corporate or Commercial Finance role with a leading FMCG/CPG or consultancy specializing in Finance/GBS Finance domain.
- Strong background in Compliance and Corporate Finance Controlling, with rounded experience across both Operations and Commercial Finance.
- Functional expertise in General Finance, Accounting, Reporting and Compliance/Controls.
- Hands-on experience in R2R processes and transformational programs in a global organization.
- Strong business acumen and relevant working experience in multinational matrix organizations.
SKILLS (Technical / Functional / Leadership)
- Expert level experience and proven capability to translate business model changes into effective Operating Model.
- Solution mindset with the ability to think outside the box, demonstrate a positive attitude, and drive for results.
- Clear thinker with strong capability to develop, communicate, and deliver clear strategy and action plans.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills towards senior management and at all levels within a global and matrix organisation.
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with SAP, BPC and Blackline.
EDUCATION
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Business or Finance, with Accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or an MBA considered a plus.
- Good understanding and relevant practice of continuous improvement methods and Agile methodology.
