British American Tobacco Fiji has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Attache in Fiji (1-year contract)
This role will be responsible for supporting quality inspection activities by checking incoming materials and finished products to ensure they meet required standards. Assist with the verification of housekeeping and supply chain practices, sort and organize samples for testing, maintain accurate records, and help ensure quality, safety, and cleanliness requirements are consistently followed throughout the workplace.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct incoming material inspections to ensure raw materials meet quality standards and specification requirements.
- Perform finished product inspections to verify product quality, accuracy, and compliance before release or shipment.
- Carry out verification checks on housekeeping and supply chain processes to ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards.
- Sort and organize smoke samples accurately for inspection, testing, and record-keeping purposes.
- Maintain inspection records and report quality issues, non-conformities, or defects to the relevant departments for corrective action.
- Support general quality assurance activities, including workplace housekeeping, documentation, and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and report quality issues accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
