Purpose Statement

  • To understand regional, end market business requirements & processes and to identify regional & end market business technology and/or process opportunities, working with business and IT managers to develop, implement and maintain solution which deliver business values within agreed timelines and budget.
  • To ensure the implementation and deployment of IT solutions into the region & end market to the agreed requirements and that this is done with minimal risk and disruption to the business.
  • To maintain and enhance existing regional solutions where required.



  • Establishing the contribution that technology can make to business objectives using a range of techniques such as eliciting & documenting requirements with stakeholders, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models, preparing business cases, usability requirements analysis and usability evaluation
  • Identifying and obtaining agreement on the requirements / features which will be most beneficial to the business
  • Providing input to and/or assist in

a)    ensuring compliance with agreed best practices

b)    preparing account plans, budget proposals, resourcing plans and project plans

c)    creation and maintenance of IT strategies

  • Identifying and raising issues impacting the execution of strategic / operational / project plans
  • Understanding the overall Enterprise Architecture and assess degree of conformance of existing and new business processes
  • Overseeing implementation of solutions – checking against the initial requirements
  • Extensive practical experience in the field of business models, business requirements, business analysis and deep knowledge related to IT solutions applicable to Manufacturing and Supply Chain
  • Preferably experience in executing change underpinned by IT technology related to Manufacturing and Supply Chain
  • Managing the deployment and implementation of IT solutions, ensuring initial requirements are met and solutions are completed with minimal business risk and disruption.
  • Ensures regional and local systems are maintained and enhanced but within the boundaries of the agreed Global and Regional IT Strategy.



·         Guides senior and middle management towards accepting change brought about through process automation

·         Supports the reduction of legacy

·         Develops and co-ordinates implementation plans that are in line with best practice, the IT strategy, the business priorities and the demand plan.

Skills and Experience

  • Business-facing IT experience in a global environment, preferably with a degree in an IT-related discipline
  • Hands on implementation experience in SAP Logistics and Manufacturing, implementation experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems such as Apriso would be highly regarded.
  • Ability to interpret the business IT and functional strategies, understand the Group operating model, and the implications actions in one area have on other functions
  • Extensive and substantial practical experience in interpreting business process management and business metrics
  • Understand the background, issues and implications of company and functional strategic imperatives
  • Experience: 5-7 years 

·         Education: Preferably degree

·         Time to 100% productivity: 4-6 months

·         4 – 6 years hands on IT experience in SAP Supply Chain applications (Production Planning, Logistics, Warehousing and Manufacturing), preferably SAP certified.

·         Detailed understanding of manufacturing, logistics and warehousing processes

·         Experience in implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems such as Apriso would be highly regarded.
