Purpose Statement

Develop dynamic, customer focused, collaborative Plans and Schedules, which can cope with changing product demand, that co-ordinate and expedite the flow of information, work and materials. 


Key Accountabilities


i. Operations/ Professional/ Business

  • Develop optimized production schedule for FG and Semi-FG based on the production plan from APSCSC with considering production capacity and material availability to meet all customer demand for domestic market and export market and sustain target FG stock level following SOP decision
  • Provide information to APSCSC for rough cut capacity planning for short-term and long-term production planning through alignment with SMD
  • Periodically provide short-term and long-term production plan for all other departments
  • Release production orders based on agreed production schedule and share the order information to enable all relevant functions to deliver right materials on floor and make right volume within scheduled time
  • Upload 24 months Demand Forecast and input demand sensitivity into APO-DC on time so that APSCSC Plan tam can develop the production plan
  • Follow all EHS requirements and try to find safe way of working for the better.
  • Report any incidents like near miss, first aids and accident on time to prevent similar case from happen


ii. Management

  • Gather production-related issues and coordinate with relevant functions to resolve the issues with minimizing loss and risks
  • Provide quality information for Supply Review about production and capacity constraints and recommendations with possible options for relevant issues to APSCSC and relevant managers in the factory
  • Ensure to achieve the monthly production volume and stock level vs. SOP approved plan

iii. Leadership

  • Be a proactive team player in the regional weekly production meeting as a factory representative
  • Lead weekly Pre-MPS meeting within Plan team to review any resource constraints and deliver internally aligned and pre-confirmed production plan to weekly MPS meeting
  • Lead weekly MPS meeting to ensure all relevant departments in Operation understand production plan to produce right volume in time
  • Be a proactive team player in assigned or involved projects
  • Demonstrate leadership capability in own process
  • Continuous self-development


iv. Relationship

  • Production scheduling should be considered with all relevant requirements and constraints from Marketing (Trade & Brand), Make (SMD, PMD, QA, Product Maintenance), Material and Leaf planning, Deliver, IT and warehousing. The planner should have excellent relationship with all of these functions
  • Strong relationship skills are also needed to be an active member of EMFII process within internal stakeholders
  • Production Scheduler have close relationship with regional Plan team to develop optimized production plan and schedule and timely act on issues

v. Innovation

  • Optimize planning and report system to improve work efficiency and effectiveness
  • Introduce and apply more advanced planning and scheduling methodology
  • Set up new planning and scheduling methodology and process for new initiatives, e.g. APSCSC, Semi-FG production
  • Identify and explore opportunities in all work area


iib. Other Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or 3+ years of Experience in FMCG company that has incorporated Manufacturing and Marketing is preferred
  • Knowledge of MRP II / ERP and Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge of EMF II process (S&OP process)
  • Thorough knowledge of planning and scheduling
  • Option analysis and scenario building skills
  • General knowledge of products, materials, machines, and work processes
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work with wide range of stakeholders
  • Effective communication and presentation skills in speaking and writing
  • Priority setting on workloads
  • Computer-literate skills, i.e. MS-Office, SAP, Lotus Notes, etc.
  • Proficient English in written and verbal
