PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Owns the technical integrity of the solutions used in the area of Human Resources including integration into other systems, internally and externally. Ensures that changes deployed are in line with standards. Engages with suppliers to ensure proactive maintenance is carried out. Provides technical advice based on day to day operational experience to projects and architecture functions to enhance standards and future solutions. This role ensures that the BAT specific intellectual property is maintained beyond projects.

 

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Subject matter expert for the global HR solutions by providing functional and technical insights of the BAT specific implementation. 
  • Ensure solutions are compliant with development standards and fit for purpose before deploying to production
  • Provide input and recommend robust solutions to meet business requirements
  • Engages with architecture functions to provide input into future standards from an operational point of view
  • Apply processes to govern change and to ensure compliance to global standards
  • Advise projects and developers on best practice, lessons learned during projects/operations to ensure delivery meets the required quality standards
  • Responsible for ongoing improvement of design for the global HR solutions
  • Manage the lifecycle of solutions in use in BAT and supports the release management process for Software as a Service solutions 
  • Design and support the maintenance of application access and authorisation security standards
  • Supports the Service Operations team during high priority incidents by providing insight into the technology solution and impact on BAT
  • Supports Service Management functions in providing HR process insights and technology elements as part of continuous service improvement activities
  • Works with relevant infrastructure teams to support capacity and demand management
  • Track and monitor escalations of technical issues to third parties such as SAP
  • Create and maintain repository and knowledge base for HR solutions

 

CORE RELATIONSHIPS

  • IDT Project Manager / Design Manager – to deliver agreed work products to time, cost quality
  • Solution architects, IDT Services - collaborate with to ensure any defined solutions are fit for purpose and deployment complaint with BAT standards, e.g. change, security
  • Strategic 3rd Party Vendors – Develop non-commercial relationships to collaborate in defining and designing the solutions
  • External - keep up-to-date with changes within the IT and FMCG industries and with peer groups at other organisations, Special interest groups and Best Practice experts
  • IDT Standards & Governance – to ensure effective application of standard processes

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to degree level
  • Must have at least 4 years of knowledge in SAP HR or Success Factors
  • Exposure to full lifecycle development experience from design through implementation and production support
  • Experience of working in large global organisation using in-sourced and out-sourced IT service providers
  • Experience with support/design of integrations to/from HR systems
  • Proven record of self-driven learning of new technologies and ways of working

 

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE

  • SAP certification in one or more Success Factors modules
  • Experience with Dell Boomi
  • Experience with analytics/reporting products like PowerBi
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment, preferably SOx and GDPR, or in a country with high standards of data protection
