Job Title:                      Sustainability Coordinator

Job Overview:

As the Sustainability Coordinator for our factory, you will play a pivotal role in integrating sustainability and EHS practices into our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive strategies, ensuring that our operations align with environmental regulations and industry best practices. The ideal candidate is adept at fostering a culture of sustainability and safety within a manufacturing setting and has a deep understanding of EHS standards.


  • Manage the ESG agenda, acting as a SPOC and supporting all the initiatives & projects.
  • Ensures implementation of the EHS management systems, programs and procedures as described in the BAT system manual to meet EHS objectives and goals.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to integrate sustainability and EHS practices into daily operations, fostering a culture of sustainability and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and stay updated on regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee waste reduction and recycling programs, implement water conservation initiatives, and identify opportunities for energy efficiency.
  • Collect and analyze sustainability data, preparing regular reports on KPIs to track progress.
  • Coordinate the effective, accurate and timely global EHS & ESG reporting for the factory as required by the global and regional team.
  • Conduct site audits/inspections and ESG analysis/assessments to determine adherence to ESG standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct and coordinate training sessions for employees, contractors and visitors when required by, or as applicable toward, company operations and needs.


  • University degree in Water & Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong understanding of EHS standards and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Effective communication skills to influence personnel at all levels in the company.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic
