British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager in Bucharest.

The Supply Network Operations (SNO) Finance is working in partnership with SNO to build strategy and coordinate the execution of outstanding Supply Network & Manufacturing Footprint. This role will focus specifically on the Customer Fulfilment/Logistics operations of New Categories Business, which is a key elements of BAT Supply Chain and is becoming increasingly complex.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • NC Freight Forecasting: Establish & Agree input assumptions with multiple partners including NC Plan, NC Ops, GDDC China, CF COE, CF Procurement etc. Institutionalize a robust monthly forecast calculation & review process.
  • NC Freight Actualization: Leading external service provider i.e., DHL to supervise and control the process of invoices and accrual posting. Extracting and checking Actuals freight cost on monthly basis.
  • Establishing and rigorously implementing review of actual vs forecast reviews with core business collaborators with analysis, insights & recommendations.
  • Transfer Pricing (TP) of Freight: Lead and implement the exercise of calculating transfer prices of freight as per requirements from NVT Corporate Finance at minimum SOP4 and SOP10 cycles.
  • Freight Capitalization: Lead and implement capitalization of freight cost related to NC stock of NVT i.e. On hand in HUB Warehouses or in transit to HUB warehouses. This must be performed at each quarter end.
  • Freight True-up: Calculate freight true-up (balance of cost in NVT not allocated to markets) in NVT on a periodic basis (Quarterly subject to change with discussion), cascade & align with all relevant team members including NC Ops Finance, Regional Ops Finance and DRBU/EM Finance Allocate actual freight cost to markets at a decided frequency monthly/quarterly.
  • Forums Reporting: Leading and providing analysis/insights for multiple forums i.e. GPC, GS&I, Logistics DMS, CF monthly review etc.
  • Business Partnering: Provide valuable, commercially focused finance business partnering service to CF COE actively understanding and contributing to business decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Consistently working towards efficiency and simplification of ways of working achievement understanding/alignment with collaborators and changing processes/policies as required.
  • Controls & Governance: Keeping a close eye on the controls involved in are of responsibility/influence, ensuring controls awareness to business and compliance with zero exceptions.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous roles with demonstrated ability to influence without authority in a matrix organisation and strong Influencing, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems (SAP / BPC)
  • Critical Thinking, fact oriented, Data Analytics skills, strong abilities with Excel and Power BI
  • Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance metrics, project evaluation
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesize, communicate and present complex information
  • Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative
  • Innovation approach, ability to match customer insights with supply chain and technology insights for accelerated problem-solving
