BAT KOREA IS LOOKING FOR A GTR QUALITY TECHNICIAN

SENIORITY LEVEL: Non-Management

LOCATION: South Korea

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The GTR Quality Technician is responsible for embedding of the quality assurance framework and product quality standards for innovation projects and new product introductions. At the same time the role of the job holder is to ensure product is manufactured according to proper specifications and legal requirements in line with customer expectations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage and assure new products and processes qualification for new technologies, materials and equipment as per global standards
  • New materials and supplier qualification assurance / incoming materials inspection for innovation
  • Assure implementation of product and material innovation in accordance with global and regional programs and strategy right first time
  • Create and establish local processes (i.e. MQS, test & trials, etc.) associated with creating and the alteration of the specification of products (FG, semi FG and materials) as well as a supervision of implementing them and functioning as part of organizations
  • Ensure proper specification of products (FG, semi FG and materials) and proper data management are in place in accordance with BAT quality and legal standards prior first production
  • Ensure that a safe working environment & equipment are maintained, delivering EHS objective and targets
  • Understanding ESG and following up ESG required actions (Energy & Water reduction & recycling, etc)
  • Reporting all accident including Near miss case
  • Implementing the EHS IWS pillar tools. (PULSAR, Safety map, QRP, Safety trigger)
  • Yearly/Monthly target setting for modules aligned with CBN and keep track of progress on a regular basis

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s Degree level in a science or applied science
  • 1 year of experience in Quality field is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of tobacco products, tobacco technology and Quality is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of SPC and CI tools
  • Experience in working across multiple functions/projects is preferred
  • Influencing, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt fast and self-development
