British American Tobacco Costa Ricahas an exciting opportunity for a Trade Payments Wholesale Assistant Manager in Heredia

We are looking for a Lead Finance Supervisor who will bring innovation, creativity, and a good attitude to our team. This position is a highly visible, integral part of the Finance team that offers tremendous growth opportunity. With a thorough knowledge of finance and planning, the Finance Supervisor is responsible for proper managing of forecasting and month end closure, SOX controls compliance, reporting of the team’s KPIs, business partnering with US stakeholders regarding the proper execution of Trade Programs and Payments, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on a timely basis in line with internal SLA's by supporting the team and providing guidance.
  • Partnering with US Trade and DBS teams to ensure the proper execution of Wholesale Programs and Payments.
  • Manage the month end closure and forecasting planning activities for finance process in SAP and BPC systems.
  • Develop robust reporting package and KPIs to support the on-going management of our business.
  • Ensure high-lever analysis of numbers, manage meetings with key stakeholders and identify additional actions whenever necessary.
  • Actively build and develop good working relationships with key stakeholders in the End Market.
  • Identify the gaps in efficiency and effectiveness and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Act as key liaison between DBS Trade Payments and BAT US in order to ensure accuracy in communications and key processes.
  • Control and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all quality and control requirements.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree (Accounting or Finance or related)
  • 2+ years’ experience in Budget Management process with strong knowledge of forecasting and planning
  • Demonstrate financial acumen.
  • B2+ to C1 English level
  • Ability to think strategically, with strong influencing and leadership skills.
  • Capacity for innovation and navigate through ambiguity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred.
