ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

In order to maintain our continued drive for excellence and deliver our business objectives a new operating model for the procurement function was designed. The Indirect Procurement Manager’s role plays a crucial part in the delivery of benefits at the end market level.

  • Procurement is a global line organisation that delivers direct and indirect procurement to Operations and Commercial, with above market management of categories and suppliers including delivery within a global organisation with a network of Hubs. The Procurement organisation design sets a clear delineation between the development of procurement strategy (Global) and the execution of it (either Global or local).

  • The  Indirects Sourcing Manager delivers customer value by managing the relationship with the customers within the End Market to ensure their procurement needs are fulfilled and balanced along with the needs of the business through ensuring the delivery of good & services (Excluding Leaf & Wrapping Materials) in timely manner at the End Market, and in some cases, by facilitating implementation of  above market projects

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accountable to mitigate risk pertaining to security of the supply of goods and services by working in a lead role to establish contracts with the suppliers with Legal department’s facilitation
  • Accountable to manage the customer relationship and all aspects of procurement related customer service for the appointed End Market by understanding customer requirements including their business goals, targets, initiatives, directions and providing them with all relevant information to ensure robust planning of budgets and supplier performance while remaining within the scope of Procurement policy
  • Deliver the savings targets and Procurement KPIs agreed with the FD of the Area and Area PBM, through local and  Global initiatives.
  • Responsible for implementing Procurement (Indirect) strategies / policies / procedures at Geographic (In some cases; Area/Global) through extensive stakeholders interaction while highlighting & reporting any non-compliances to relevant forums
  • Maintain close contact with Coupa CoE and Coupa Content Team on spelling new requirements for technology upgrade/requirements and carrying out User Acceptance Tests on new business releases.
  • Develop Strong interaction and relationship with Tactical Procurement Hub (TPH) for effective delivery of Projects within agreed timelines

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a procurement, supply chain or finance role
  • Management of complex end market projects and programmes to improve performance and deliver service.
  • Proven capability of applying supplier management techniques to deliver added value benefits in addition to contracted benefits
  • Understanding of financial evaluation and interpretation of supplier’s records and their key cost and business drivers.
  • Understanding of total cost models, cost drivers and other factors needed to ensure a robust agreement for BAT
  • Agility to obtain knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity, and expected trends at a geographic / global level
  • Understanding of the processes, timelines and constraints for the development and delivery of new products
  • Transformational mindset required to drive change in engagement model
  • Coupa & SAP apprecaited required 

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Strong Stakeholder Management and communication skills; Good influencing and facilitation skills
  • Strong business acumen and end to end supply chain environment understanding
  • High level of leadership skills and team management skills
  • Procurement principles, policies, and practices
  • Proven influencing skills with senior stakeholders, internal and external, including leadership teams
  • Numerical and analytical ability (Expertise in MS Excel & Power BI)
  • A thorough understanding of the Procure to Pay Process
  • Comfortable with operating in an ambiguous environment and open to drive and receive new ideas

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or similar
  • Business English – fluent;
