JOB TITLE: Capability Development Executive

FUNCTION: DBS Marketing

SUB-FUNCTION: Customer

LOCATION: Lahore, Pakistan


ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this role is to accelerate the enhancement of capabilities and skills of the Trade Marketing & Distribution community. The role will oversee the trade planning support for the EM, and connect this planning as part of the input to develop field force talent capabilities as per TM&D national strategy

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Supervise trade planning systems operation in accordance with TM&D strategy
    • Understand trade planning processes and tools to ensure added value solution to the EM
    • Connect trade planning objectives with current performance to recognize training opportunities
  • Designing role profiles for RTM and crafting training content for RTM based on the customer & consumer strategy
  • Liaise with TM&D and brands on campaign planning and translate into the required resources for EM
  • Develop and functionally train the resources to deliver on customer and consumer strategy. Examples: Negotiations skills for new SKU placement, Power BI for intermediate level analysis
  • Manage and coordinate brand / trade contents, retail activation within the B2B and E-Comm Lite environment
  • Lead, design and manage the trade marketing’s training agenda for the year
  • Monitor on-ground trade teams’ performance and take appropriate action to improve based on the findings
  • Curate & Craft learning playlists on The Grid/LinkedIn Learning
  • Conduct POSITIVE Training and other Global/Regional initiatives (classroom/virtual)
  • Coordinate with global and MY MSDMs on planning and developing training content
  • Coordinate with external trainers for conducting required trainings (classroom/virtual)
  • Facilitate new joiners induction / training on TM&D and planning tools
  • Manage and provide guidance for Trade systems planning executive
  • Assist in the Field Force Performance Objectives setting
  • Upskilling of Distributor Sales Staff, Supervisors & TMRs
  • Liaise with external vendors for conducting training sessions
  • Apprise trade leadership on training and development status of field force
  • Take ownership of personal development, including reviewing own progress against deadlines and targets, and the timely and accurate completion of PerforM (end of year review documents).
  • Share knowledge/experience with peers

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of trade planning process and skills development in marketing & HR department
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • People oriented, influences others
  • Excellent analytical skills and excel knowledge
  • Skills and experience in creating and using dashboards and generating reports
  • Knowledge of developing customer incentive schemes
  • Good to have knowledge of store assortment optimization, media capability planning and route to market
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in trade marketing planning and/or training role
  • A great motivator of teams
  • Experience with use of trade planning tools
  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills        
  • Excellent ability in MS Office Application - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Learning Development System and Content Development Tool such as Canva or Adobe.
  • Relationship management (internal & external)
