ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The Predictive Analytics Manager plays a pivotal role in maximising sophisticated machine learning techniques to unlock actionable insights from vast amounts of consumer loyalty card and retail scan data. By developing and implementing predictive models, this role empowers the company to anticipate consumer purchase behaviour, enabling informed decision-making in pricing strategies and promotional activities. Through meticulous statistical analysis of transaction-level data, the Predictive Analytics Manager contributes to optimizing pricing strategies, improving revenue, and enhancing overall business performance. This position serves as an analytics partner, driving innovation and efficiency through data-driven solutions that drive growth and competitive advantage in the retail landscape.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Provide leadership with framework, analysis, solutions & recommendations to the business for analysis related to consumer purchase behaviour and transaction level retail scan data.
  • Design, develop and implement predictive models using consumer loyalty card data to forecast consumer behavior and program performance.
  • Analyse historical data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that advise pricing and promotion strategies.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of predictive models, making adjustments and improvements as necessary.
  • Prepare and present reports and insights to stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations based on model findings.
  • Showcase the value of machine learning by bringing actionable recommendations to collaborators and simplifying complex analysis
  • Collaborate with other Growth Management teams, Insights & Foresights teams, as well as Brands and Consumer Experience teams to ensure projects and new technologies are embedded in day to day activities
  • Develop good working relationships with peers within the End Market, as well as other functions within the GBS and Central Marketing & other Insights teams in order to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Cooperate with business and technology associates to understand business questions, identify the right data sources and techniques and then, prepare data, analyse, present findings and results.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Shown experience as a Data Analyst working with Consumer Analytics, loyalty programs,Big Data Analytics and statistical analysis. Proficient in excel and visualization tools.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of work experience in Statistics/Analytics or Revenue Growth Management. Experience with loyalty and rewards program analysis is required 
  • 3 years of managerial experience, leading teams with partner management and project management background
  • Strong proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R, Python, SQL. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks, neural networks, and deep learning is desired but not required 
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of consumer behavior and should be able to manage, transform & connect various data sources and extract powerful insights
  • Strong analytical thinking, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex findings to non-technical partners and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project needs
  • BA/BS Degree is required
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
