British American Tobacco Czech Republic has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Business Manager in Prague

As a Procurement Manager for Czech Republic and Slovakia, you will be responsible for handling the company’s end to end indirect spend sourcing operations. The successful candidate will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and implementing new opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the company’s indirect supply portfolio, develop sourcing plans and ensuring transparency of spending.
  • Generate and implement efficient category sourcing and category management strategies.
  • Ensure contract(s) meet the business requirements through the execution of the strategic sourcing process.
  • Apply global policies, standards and platforms including the agreed Sourcing Management methodology and approach and to deliver robust terms and conditions that manages BAT’s service delivery and commercial risk.
  • Analyze procurement costs, identify savings opportunities, and optimize sourcing procedures
  • Cooperate with internal and external partners to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
  • Invent negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies to secure profitable deals while optimizing sourcing procedures for maximum efficiency.
  • Conduct market analysis, benchmark costs, and anticipate shifts in supplier dynamics to mitigate risks and establish partnerships with reliable vendors.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience as a Sourcing or Procurement Manager, with expertise in supplier and contract management.
  • Familiarity with sourcing, vendor management, and relevant software tools (e.g., Coupa, SRM, SAP).
  • Thorough knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity, and expected trends at a local / geographic level.
  • Understanding of market dynamics, financial evaluation, cost drivers, and supplier records analysis.
  • Proficiency in developing contracts and agreements for high-risk categories, ensuring compliance with corporate regulations.
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-country projects, with a focus on service delivery, performance improvement, and savings.
  • Professional knowledge of procurement principles, advanced negotiation skills, and project leadership abilities.
  • Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration;
    CIPS certification or equivalent is an advantage.
