British American Tobacco Turkiye has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Manager in Samsun!

In this role, you will be responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of integrated management systems that ensures best practice performance in environmental, health & safety (EHS) management and sustainability, in our Samsun Factory in line with global agenda. You will ensure controls and solutions for all EHS and sustainability programs compliant with British American Tobacco policies, standards, and local regulations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the implementation of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda requirements and targets for both the factory & commercial teams
  • Establish the ESG objectives and budget based on the short and medium-term targets
  • Organize and conduct global and local audits; identify and evaluate existing/potential threats on EHS issues through risk assessment
  • Work as a member of the factory leadership team on the development of the ESG agenda and provide alignment with commercial leadership team
  • Maintain a professional and well-motivated team, ensuring appropriate training and coaching for development
  • Provide support/direction to ensure all employees to understand their ESG agenda responsibilities
  • Developing, sustaining the EHS & Sustainability Agenda and programs. Continually searching for improvements and realization of ESG agenda
  • Executing a proactive loss prevention program including risk management, inspections, audits, and emergency planning, by monitoring their implementation, to eliminate or reduce health, safety, and environmental risks to an acceptable level

What are we looking for?

  • Are passionate about leading ESG agenda and stakeholder management
  • Hold a university degree in Engineering
  • Have at least 5 years of ESG and EHS experience
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Have strong communication & interpersonal skills and have attention for detail
  • A/B level EHS Specialist Certificate is an asset
  • This role is an on site position.
